The Poor Boyz Windsurfing crew has been busy enjoying the fruits of their three year project, the World-Wide release tour.
The first stop was the May 18th World Premier at Le Defi Wind in France. Over 3,000 crazy windsurfers braved the day's 70 knot gusts to join the red carpet event thrown by Oxbow International.
Next was the Maui Film Festival where 2,900 people came to the opening night's Celestial Cinema where The Windsurfing Movie headlined. Barry Rivers, Director of the event said:
"The Windsurfing Movie is the rarest of extreme sports documentaries--one powered by jet fuel made of equal parts adrenaline, heart and soul. It's the definitive film on the history of the sport."
June 28th, Poor Boyz showed their film at Red Bull Headquarters in California. This in-house event was a huge success and got rave-reviews from windsurfers and executives alike.
Now its off to Hood River for the July 1st show at the Hood River Inn.
Thanks to all the loyal customers who have been pre-ordering. Copies are being made and we expect to ship by mid-late July. You will be rewarded with the event poster and t-shirt.
